third beta

It didn't double.

It was 862. I am scared.

Progesterone was 59.

The next beta is on Monday. These betas are killing me.

Monday seems so far away.

edited to add: I apologize for being such a freak lately- my emotions are just all over the place. I am going to try to keep the freaking out to a minimum (hah) and hope that it catches up for Monday's beta. I have a few posts in draft that are more substantial, but I just haven't been able to focus on them to get them out while this whole beta thing is going on. I didn't expect such a long series of them and it is totally throwing me off. Also, my apologies for the lack of commenting, I will try to get back on it soon, promise. Just know that I am reading and thinking about you guys.

  1. First, don't apologize for freaking out. This is your life, and your blog, and it's ok to share your feelings. Second, breathe... Try to calm yourself, but I know, this is so hard.

Doing betas every few days is common practice by RE's, but I don't know that it's good. It's very hard on us patients. I've been told that anything over 60% rise in 2 days is good and viable. And you're there. Your beta is still way above average for where you are in your pregnancy! Try to enjoy the fact that you're pregnant, and worry about numbers later...

Sending you a hug, my dear. Try to enjoy your weekend - and stay away from the internet!!! I think it's probably a good idea to stay away from other blogs right now... We'll still be here when things calm down for you!

  2. It's still a good number for where you are at.

I am thinking about you and praying that this all works out. I have faith that it will!

  3. I know absolutely nothing legit about betas -- my only knowledge comes from extensive blog reading. But 800s sounds good to me.

Also, don't apologize for what you write here, it's your space. There wouldn't be infertility blogs if people didn't whine. The whole thing blows.

  4. Beta schmeta...

My Dr doesn't even do them, in fact alot of Drs here don't do them

It's gone up by over 300! Don't start worrying unless you have to....

Any moment spent worrying is a moment lost in revelling in the fact that you're PREGNANT.

  5. once you're past week four (which you are! yay!) then betas start to take longer to double. the numbers are still going up. that's a good sign.

what did they say about the number? did they seem worried about it at all? if not, hopefully there is nothing to worry about.

    sending hugs x

  6. ugh, these beta's are a total mindfuck. it didn't double, but it went up by at least 60%, which is the minimum, i believe. try not to worry, although i realize that advice is futile. i know SOOO many girls who didn't have all their beta's double and now they have healthy babies. for your sake, i hope monday rolls around very quickly :o)

  7. You can freak out any old time you want. This is your place to express yourself.

I know it's tough, but try to stay strong and positive until Monday. If you weren't told by the nurse or doctor to worry, than I wouldn't. Medical professionals can be quite frank when something is up.

Hoping Monday gets here soon so you get some peace of mind. Thinking of you.
